VOLUNTEER NEEDS:
This will be a full-service RAVS medical and surgical field clinic. Volunteers of all types are encouraged to apply.   No prior field experience required.

ARRIVAL:
You must be ready to meet your group at the time and location indicated.  If you are flying into the area, you should plan to fly in the night before to avoid missing your team due to flight changes or other delays. You will be responsible for coordinating your own ground transportation throughout the clinic.  

DEPARTURE:
June 2 will be the last working day of the trip. Departure time will be dependent on case load and community needs, but we can expect to leave the community early evening on June 2. Flights may be booked out anytime on June 3. You will be responsible for arranging your own accommodations prior to and after the arrival and departure times.

ACCOMMODATIONS:  
Sleeping arrangements will involve indoor camping in the clinic building or another local building provided by the community. It is important to pack anything you need to sleep comfortably. Details on outdoor camping or other lodging options will be provided to team members as available.

CLINIC INFORMATION:
You will be part of a team of volunteers working on the reservation of the Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa Indians in Belcourt, North Dakota. We will be providing five days of small animal spay/neuter and wellness services. (www.tmchippewa.com)

CONTINUING EDUCATION
Veterinarians and veterinary technicians are eligible to receive 30 hours of RACE approved continuing education credit for participation in this clinic.  Clinical training and orientations will include topics in anesthesia, surgery, client communication, examination and wellness care, assessment and treatment of various infectious diseases and injuries and provision of high quality basic veterinary services in the field setting.
