Walmart - Claypool (Globe)
100 S Ragus Rd, Claypool, AZ 85532

NOTE:  This will not be a standard full-service RAVS teaching clinic. This will be a targeted spay/neuter clinic for animals identified as part of our ongoing San Carlos Outreach Project.

All volunteers must have prior RAVS field experience.  This will not be a teaching clinic.  The very small team will be composed entirely of RAVS staff and experienced returning volunteers working with a modified clinic flow for this more compromised population of animals.  Veterinary technicians, assistants and support volunteers are especially needed.  Veterinary students with prior RAVS experience are welcome to participate in clinic support roles.

ARRIVAL:  The team will meet in Globe at noon on Sept 7.  You must be ready to meet your group at the time indicated. If you are flying to the area you may need to fly in the night before to avoid missing your team due to flight changes or other delays.

DEPARTURE:  Sept 11 will be the last working day of the trip. We will finish surgery the evening of the 10th. The team will work together the morning of the 11th to finish case follow-up and clinic breakdown.  Flights may be booked out anytime after 6:00 PM September 11.  Please do not book flights earlier than this as we can’t ensure that you can get to the airport earlier.  You will be responsible for arranging your own accommodations prior to and after the pick-up and drop-off times.

ACCOMODATIONS:  Volunteer on this trip have the option of staying at the Apache Gold casino if desired.  This is completely optional, and would need to be arranged and paid for by the volunteer.  Standard 'RAVS-style' sleeping accomodations will be available at the community center near the clinic.

CLINIC INFORMATION:  You will be part of an elite team of volunteers working on the San Carlos Apache Reservation in Arizona.  We will be providing 3 days of targeted small animal spay/neuter services.

STUDENT FUNDRAISING COMMITMENT:  There is no minimum fundraising commitment for this clinic.  We do have an active online fundraising campaign to support the San Carlos Outreach Project. All volunteers are welcome and encouraged to participate!

CONTINUING EDUCATION:  This clinic is not eligible for RACE approved CE credit.  Volunteers will be expected to have prior familiarity with RAVS protocols and field operations.  Training/orientations will be limited.
