El Salvador-University of El Salvador, San Salvador
Dr. Susan Monger will be conducting a teaching clinic at the University of El Salvador in San Salvador. The trip is open to veterinarians, veterinary technicians and a small number of U.S. veterinary students.
Please note: This will NOT be a high volume clinic. This clinic will concentrate on enhancing surgical skill for faculty and final year veterinary students at the College of Veterinary Medicine in San Salvador.
U.S. veterinary students will act primarily as veterinary assistants. This will be an excellent opportunity to broaden your cultural and educational experience is a great opportunity for clinical and cultural exchange. All surgical experience will be dedicated to local veterinary students under the supervision of skilled veterinarians.
Students should have experience and must have participated in at least one U.S. HSVMA-RAVS clinic prior to applying for this trip. Spanish language skill is strongly encouraged.
Due to the logistical confinements of the trip, all volunteers will be required to cover all expenses of their trip - including transportation, food and lodging. Costs wil likely range from $800-1000, depending on airfare from the U.S.
