ARRIVAL:
You must be at the parking lot in front of the hotel and ready to meet your group at the time indicated. If you are flying to this location we highly recommend that you fly in the night before to avoid missing your team due to flight changes or other delays.
DEPARTURE:
July 11 will be the last working day of the trip. Volunteers not participating in the following clinic at Cheyenne River, SD will return to Bismarck late the evening of the 11th. You may book your flight out anytime July 12. Please do not book flights earlier than this. We expect volunteers to participate for the duration of the clinic. You will be responsible for arranging your own accommodations prior to and after the pick-up and drop-off times.
Student volunteers will be required to participate in both the Standing Rock, ND and Cheyenne River, SD clinics. Professional volunteers are encouraged to participate in both weeks when possible. Volunteers participating in both weeks of clinic will be responsible for their own accommodations July 11 and 12. You will be on your own with time to rest and regroup between locations from the time clinics end on the 11th until the appointed meeting time in Mobridge, SD on June 13.
CLINIC INFORMATION:
You will be part of a team of volunteers working on the Standing Rock Indian Reservation in North Dakota under the leadership of Dr. Morgan Peterman. We will be providing four days of small animal spay/neuter and three days of vaccination and medicine services in various communities on the reservation (Cannon Ball, Ft Yates and McLaughlin).
SUBMITTING PERSONAL TRAVEL PLANS:
Before making travel arrangements, be sure you have read the Travel Information section of the website. As soon as you have made your travel plans, you will need to submit the pertinent information via the online Travel Form. We need this information for ALL VOLUNTEERS on ALL TRIPS at least 30 days before the starting date of the trip. The sooner you can provide this information, the easier it will be for us to finalize trip logistics.
