ARRIVAL:
You must be at the parking lot in front of the hotel and ready to meet your group at the time indicated. We highly recommend flying in and making the drive to Hoopa the day before to avoid missing your team due to flight changes, or other delays.
Student volunteer will be required to participate in both the Covelo and Hoopa, CA clinics. Volunteers participating in both trips will be responsible for your own accommodations May 21 and 22. You will be on your own with time to rest and regroup between locations from the time clinics end on the 21 until the appointed meeting time in Hoopa on the 23rd .
DEPARTURE:
May 29 will be the last working day of the trip. We will leave Hoopa late the evening of the 29th. You may book your flights out anytime May 30. Please do not book flights earlier than this. We expect volunteers to participate for the duration of the clinic.
You will be responsible for arranging your own accommodations prior to and after the pick-up and drop-off times. The hotel in Hoopa is relatively small and the ONLY hotel in the area, please make your reservations early!
CLINIC INFORMATION:
You will be part of a team of volunteers working in Hoopa, CA on the Hoopa Valley Indian Reservation under the leadership of U.S. Programs Director, Windi Wojdak. We will be providing four days of small animal spay/neuter services and two days of vaccination and medicine services.
SUBMITTING PERSONAL TRAVEL PLANS:
Before making travel arrangements, be sure you have read the Travel Information section of the website. As soon as you have made your travel plans, you will need to submit the pertinent information via the online Travel Form. We need this information for ALL VOLUNTEERS on ALL TRIPS at least 30 days before the starting date of the trip. The sooner you can provide this information, the easier it will be for us to finalize trip logistics.
