BACKGROUND CLEARANCE DETAILS

Initial volunteer acceptance to participate in a scheduled RAVS clinic is conditional upon completion of a background inquiry and confirmation of the HSVMA-RAVS Volunteer Agreement.

HSVMA works with Justifacts to offer an online background check process. Applicants who are accepted to participate will receive an initial trip acceptance email with a link to the online background check request form. This form is completed once for each volunteer - volunteers participating in more than one field clinic need to submit only one

Veterinary Students: Search includes criminal record search

Veterinary Technicians, Assistants and Tech Students: Search includes criminal record, motor vehicle record, social security trace, national sex offender registry search and professional license verification (if applicable)

Veterinarian: Search includes criminal record, motor vehicle record, social security trace, national sex offender registry search, professional license verification and confirmation of degree

Other/Support Volunteers (includes undergraduate pre-veterinary students):
Search includes criminal record, motor vehicle record and social security trace
